Air (DEQ) - This webpage acts as a central hub for the Department of Environmental Quality's information regarding air. Useful data can be found under Air Monitoring Data and AQI forecasting. Some information regarding landfills with known contaminants, such as asbestos, can also be found. Note that not all cities have a monitoring station, so data may need to be collected from the nearest to a desired location.
Drinking Water Watch - This resource from the Department of Health and Hospitals features detailed information regarding water quality. Data can be found via searching for particular sites or parishes served. The Consumer Confidence Reports, produced annually, offer the best overview of data at the city level.
Emissions Inventory Reports - This online resource from the Department of Environmental Quality can be used to find levels of various air emissions and contaminants. The data can be generated for the parish level or within a radius of a particular latitude and longitude.
Land (DEQ) - This webpage acts as a central hub for the Department of Environmental Quality's information regarding land. Useful data can be found regarding various waste disposal permits, solid waste, recycling programs, and landfills. Note that since some annual reports are not available online, contacting the DEQ directly may be needed.
Louisiana Office of State Climatology - This resource offers daily, weekly, and monthly climate information such as precipitation, temperature, and wind speed. Note that not all cities have a monitoring station, so data may need to be collected from the nearest to a desired location.
Recycling (DEQ) - This webpage contains annual reports and other publications from the Department of Environmental Quality on recycling in Louisiana. Additional, parish-specific information can be found through viewing Parish Permits (link is for 2019, which led to the 2019 Annual Report).
Solid Waste Capacity Report (DEQ) - This biennial report evaluates the volume and type of solid waste in Louisiana. It contains various maps to help locate facilities near a given area. Note this link is for the 2018-2019 report, which is the most recent as of 2022.
Southern Regional Climate Center - This resource offers climate information for 6 states, including Louisiana. Note that not all cities have a monitoring station, so data may need to be collected from the nearest to a desired location; the information also contains some historical data.
Water (DEQ) - This webpage acts as a central hub for the Department of Environmental Quality's information regarding water. Useful data can be found regarding Ambient Water Quality, sources of water and mercury levels. Some information regarding approved disposers of sewage sludge and biosolids can also be found. Note that monitoring areas vary, so there may be many of interest to a desired location.
