Federal

Federal Administrative Law: A Brief Overview - This resource introduces federal administrative law, which deals with powers and procedures of federal agencies. Links and descriptions to major laws and other resources and a glossary are provided.

How Laws Are Made (Ben's Guide to the U.S. Government) - This resource gives a step-by-step description of how bills move through the legislative process to become laws. Links to further information are also included.

How Our Laws Are Made (House Document 110-49) or 4th floor U.S. documents stacks Y 1.1/7: 110-49 - This document provides a more detailed description of how laws are created. Different groups, types of congressional actions in addition to bills, and more are defined and described.

The Legislative Process - This video from Congress.gov describes how bills move through the legislative process. A transcript is available as well as divided sections which allow navigation through key parts of the video.
