Research Assistance
General research assistance is available in-person at Sims Memorial Library's Reference Desk. Assistance by phone is available by calling (985) 549-2027. Online reference assistance is also available through chat, email, or text message (985-222-2994). For more in-depth research assistance, Southeastern students are encouraged to schedule an appointment with a librarian through our research consultation service.
Retrieving Library Materials
Circulation desk staff at Sims Memorial Library can provide assistance with retrieving library materials. Staff will retrieve 2-4 items upon request. If more items are needed, please provide a list of the items, including call numbers, to the Circulation Desk. You will be notified when the material is ready for pick-up, usually within 24 hours. Request can be made in person (1st floor), email (libcirc@selu.edu), or phone (985) 549-3968.
Assistance Using Library Equipment
Library staff are happy to assist with operating library computers, scanners, photcopiers, and other equipment. We're here to help!
