Research Assistance
General research assistance is available in-person at Sims Memorial Library's Reference Desk. Assistance by phone is available by calling (985) 549-2027. Online reference assistance is also available through chat, email, or text message (985-222-2994). For more in-depth research assistance, Southeastern students are encouraged to schedule an appointment with a librarian through our research consultation service


Retrieving Library Materials 
Circulation Desk staff at Sims Memorial Library can provide assistance with retrieving library materials. Staff will retrieve up to four items upon request. If more items are needed, please provide a list of the items, including call numbers, to the Circulation Desk. You will be notified by email when the material is ready for pick-up, usually within 24 hours. Request can be made in person (1st floor), email (libcirc@selu.edu), or phone (985) 549-3968. 

Assistance Using Library Equipment
Library staff are happy to assist with operating library computers, scanners, photcopiers, and other equipment. We're here to help!
