The National Communication Association advances Communication as the discipline that studies all forms, modes, media, and consequences of communication through humanistic, social scientific, and aesthetic inquiry.

Southern States Communication Association

American Communication Association 
The ACA is a not-for-profit virtual professional association with actual presence in the world of communication scholars and practitioners. ACA is committed to enabling the effective use of new and evolving technologies to facilitate communication instruction, research and criticism, and to offering a technologically supportive venue for all who study the ways in which humans communicate.

Intercultural Communication Institute 
The Intercultural Communication Institute (ICI) is a nonprofit charity with the mission of fostering an awareness and appreciation of cultural difference in both the international and domestic arenas. ICI was founded by Janet Bennett and Milton Bennett in fulfillment of the vision of Stanton D. Bennett, an international businessman whose life reflected a commitment to world peace, hospitality to foreign visitors, and generous support for education.

International Communication Association (ICA) 
ICA is an academic association for scholars interested in the study, teaching and application of all aspects of human and mediated communication. It began more than 60 years ago as a small organization of U.S. researchers and now is truly international with more than 4300 members in over 80 countries. Since 2003, ICA has been officially associated with the United Nations as a non-governmental organization (NGO).
