S&P NetAdvantage is a robust financial database providing valuable information on industries and major player companies. See here for a quick and easy way to use it. If you are off-campus, when directed, simply enter your wnumber and 6-digit birth date so you can access the database.
From the library homepage, click on the Articles & Databases tab. By clicking on Subjects, you will be able to click on Business. From there, scroll down and click on S&P NetAdvantage.
Towards the top of the screen you will see many tabs to choose from. One popular one is the Market Metrics tab. By clicking on that and seeing below, you will see Refine Industry in the upper right:
After you click on Refine Industry, you will see the following screen:
The above screen shows that each industry can be narrowed into more specific ones with the click of a button. Feel free to explore these to find your desired industry. Click Submit when you are ready for the next step.

There is even more data if you simply explore. There are annual reports, subsidiaries, credit ratings, and more.
