ISAT Graduate Program: Cite Your Sources

This guide will assist students in the ISAT program.

Cite Your Sources

The ISAT program has specified that APA style is used for theses prepared by ISAT students.

You will need to include documentation for the sources you use in your research papers and your thesis.

This serves several purposes. It provides the reader with assistance in locating the sources you used, and it gives credit to the other researchers whose work you are using.

There are several different styles that you might use for this work. The ISAT program has selected the APA (American Psychological Association) style.

Additional information about APA citation format can be found at the Library's Citing Resources guide.

Students may want to use EndNote Web to assist with creating bibliogrpahies in APA or other styles.

The Southeastern Writing Center can assist students with writing and citation. The Writing Center operates by appointments. To schedule an appointment, either:

  • walk in (DVIC 210) and schedule an appointment at the desk for a later time.
  • call the Writing Center at (985) 549-2076.
  • schedule an appointment through email at writing@selu.edu. When scheduling an appointment through email, please email us at least two days in advance and provide several available times for appointments.

The Writing Center has prepared two helpful guides to citing in APA: APA Style Guide and APA Style Checklist.

Note: the 7th edition of the APA Publication Manual will be released in fall 2019.
