Library of Congress, Digital Collections and Services - The Library is the nation’s oldest federal cultural institution.  It serves as the research arm of Congress and its web site provides digital access to many of the treasures from its vast collections.

National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) - In addition to giving grants to Arts organizations, NEA publishes arts-related research reports, booklets, and brochures.  Its web site provides full-text access to many of those publications.

National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) - Information about applying for a grant from NEH is available on this site along with full-text access to the magazine Humanities.

National Park Service, History and Culture - The National Register of Historic Places is searchable on this site.  The site also provides a great deal of information about historic preservation and cultural resource management.

Smithsonian Institution - Though best known for its many museums, the Smithsonian Institution also publishes a great deal of research in art, design, history, culture, science, and technology.

White HouseIncludes information about the current President and Vice President, previous Presidents and First Ladies, and about the White House itself.
